Who's the little yellow bear with a penchant for honey and a huge, huge heart? That's right, it's Christopher Robin's best friend Pooh Bear! Learn to draw him by following this tutorial.
-
1
Draw a large, tilted oval. On top of this sketch a wide cylinder and another, flatter oval. Sketch in guidelines. This will be the basis of Pooh's head.
-
2
Add in dots for his eyes. Put curved lines high above them for the brows, ovals for the ears, an oval for his nose, and a happy smile.
-
3
Draw a big oval for his body. Add a long oval for each arm. Draw a circle for the hands, one on the end of each oval.
-
4
Draw more ovals for the legs. Add a half-oval for each foot. Counterintuitive though it seems, Pooh's legs are shorter and chubbier than his arms, so make sure to take that detail into account.
-
5
Sketch in his simple shirt. It should be riding up pretty high due to his large tummy, with loose sleeves and a collar.
-
6
Outline and color your drawing. The only colors you have to use are yellow, red, and black. Erase any excess lines left on Pooh Bear and you are done!
-
1
Draw a small circle for the head. Draw an oblong connected to it for the body. Draw small circles at the head for the ears.
-
2
Draw a cross-section at the head tilted to the right. Draw also two vertical lines at the left and at the right. Using that framework as guide, draw the eyes, nose, and snout by using circles and ovals.
-
3
Refine the drawing by using curves to connect the lines and form the head. Draw the mouth and ears using the curves.
-
4
Draw elongated oblongs to form Pooh's arms.
-
5
Draw using curves and oblongs to form the legs and feet.
-
6
Draw Pooh's honey-jar using an oblong shape and curve lines.
-
7
Draw Pooh's clothes using curve lines that connect to the body.
-
8
Trace with a pen and erase unnecessary lines. Add details to refine drawing.
-
9
Color to your liking to resemble Pooh!

You should first draw a sketch of a normal boy. Then look up a picture of Christopher Robin and copy his features, like his brown hair, his brown eyes, etc. If you need help mastering the basics, check YouTube for tutorials.

Pooh's an extremely easygoing guy--try to convey that with your drawing. His smile should be full of unadulterated joy, his posture unaffected, relaxed. If you want you can draw a jar of honey (or "hunny," as he spells it) next to his feet, or one of his friends (like Piglet) standing with him. Have fun with it!
-
Draw lightly in pencil so that you can easily rub out mistakes.
-
Erase softly and your paper won't rip.
